BASIC ELECTRONICS LABORATORY The basic circuits and electronic devices lab is one of the first electrical engineering lab courses students will take. In this lab, students become familiar with making basic electrical measurements using laboratory instruments Digital Multimeters (DMMs), Variable Power supplies, Function generators and Oscilloscope Basic Component such as Resistors, Diodes, Transistors, and Operational Amplifiers Function etc.
ANALOG ELECTRONICS LABORATORY Introductory experimental laboratory that explores the design, construction, and debugging of analog electronic circuits. For example characteristics of diodes, transistors, JFETs, and op-amps, including the construction of a small audio amplifier and preamplifier. Trainer Kit on Active Filter, Switched Mode Power Supply, Class A B C AB Amplifier etc. Equipments like Oscilloscope, Modern Power Supply, Function Generator , DMM etc.
DIGITAL ELECTRONICS LABORATORY Starting with Digital Gates and work our way up to more complicated elements such as multiplexers, flip-flops, and state machines. Analog to digital and digital to analog conversion will be discussed. Universal Trainer Board for Developing Circuit, DMM, Oscilloscope, Function Generator etc.
SOLID STATE ELECTRONICS DEVICE LABORATORY Understand electrical conduction in solid state materials, Analyze and design DC and switching circuits containing diodes and transistors, Develop skill with computer-based circuit simulation using P-SPICE. MICROPROCESSOR & MICRO-CONTROLLER LAB Here students develop their knowledge on processor architecture and the programming skills. This laboratory houses the hardware which includes 8085 Microprocessor trainer kits, 8086 Microprocessor trainer kits, 8051 Microcontroller trainer kits, interfacing cards and software Keil-51. This laboratory provides hand-on experience to interface I/O devices, perform A/D and D/A conversions, design digital clock, traffic light control system etc. Trainer Kit on 8085, 8086, 8251, Seven Segment Display, Traffic Light Controller, 8-bit D-A and A-D Converter key board controller , Temperature sensor controller card etc
EM THEORY & TRANSMISSION LINES LABORATORY The main thrust in this area is the application of electromagnetic to a wide range of engineering system and devices including antenna, circuits and systems over the RF/microwave and optical range of frequencies. Device/system concepts, computational methods for simulation and design optimization, and measurement and characterization methods Gun Based microwave test bench, klystron based microwave test bench, Dipole Antenna, Horn Antenna, Software based motorised Yagi-uda Antenna, 1 GHz spectrum Analyser etc
ANALOG COMMUNICATION LABORATORY The laboratory has kits comprising a main case containing function generating blocks, and special purpose plug-in modules that can be attached to these cases. There are different types of modules performing various communication system functions. These modules can be easily added to or removed from the arrangement as required by each experiment. The oscilloscopes and DSO are used in the laboratory have visualizations of the signals in both time and frequency domains. Besides regular course work, students are also allowed to use the laboratory for their projects. DIGITAL COMMUNICATION LABORATORY Laboratory experiments which deal with the design and measurement of analog and digital communication systems. Concepts include SNR, Modulation Index, PCM, and spread spectrum. Measure signal-to-noise ratio with various equipment, Design and measure ASK, FSK, QPSK, and spread spectrum communication systems, Routinely use communications test equipment and Identify and Measure factors which hamper communication systems. CONTROL SYSTEM LABORATORY Control systems study how to manipulate the parameters affecting the behavior of a system to produce a desired or optimal outcome. The tools that form the body of knowledge, known as control theory, are applicable to a wide variety of systems, including electrical, mechanical, chemical systems. PID controller, PD controller and PI controller. 30 computer systems.
DIGITAL SIGNAL PROCESSING LABORATORY The Digital Signal Processing Lab (DSPLAB) provides all the required equipment to implement real-time digital signal processing solutions supporting experimental research, applied research, and industrial projects conducted at the Communication Systems Division. 30 computer systems and different DSP trainer kits.
VLSI LABORATORY Digital and analog electronics circuit can be implemented in this Lab. The Very Large Scale Integrated Laboratory (VLSI Lab) is a state-of-the-art facility which has 30 computer system with Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor Graphics, Xilinx, Agilent ADS etc
DESIGN LABORATORY The Design Lab is used to analysis, modeling, design, and testing of analog electronic circuits in a practical purpose.
